For those who want to go all the way and be an official Deep Listener out in the community. (Some may choose not to be visible and this is a 'quiet listener'.)
Access afforded: All training opportunities, all listener meetups, debriefing and mentoring support, peer support network membership.
Commitment required: A commitment to uphold the Deep Listeners Code of Ethics and Deep Listeners Guidelines (signed). Signing up as a volunteer with The Family Centre (our auspicing organisation), gaining a Working With Children Check and National Criminal History Check (we will only care about things that directly impact deep listening!), and earning the badge through our skills and readiness checks. You’ll also need to commit to keeping in touch with the coordinator and regular attendance at meetups.
Representation: After earning the badge you can identify as a Deep Listener publicly. (Alternatively, at this level you can become a Quiet Listener who chooses to listen discreetly and not be publicly visible.)
If you're interested in becoming a listener, or just having a chat for more information, send Ursula an [hyperlinked] email.
